This accessibility statement explains how well the WistecOnline.fi complies with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services, what shortcomings there are in the accessibility of the website and how you can give us feedback on accessibility problems.

Wistec Training Oy is responsible for this online service. We want as many users as possible to be able to access our digital services. We take accessibility into account in the development of digital services.

How accessible is the website?

This online service largely meets the A and AA level accessibility criteria required by law (WCAG criteria 2.1). The online service has some shortcomings in accessibility, which are described in more detail below.

More detailed information on technical accessibility

The online service is not yet fully accessible.

  • Contrasts between some of the colours are too low. (WCAG 1.4.3)
  • Alt-texts are missing for some pictures (WCAG 1.1.1)
  • It not possible to control the multimedia using screen reader (WCAG 1.4.2)
  • Lists have not been used in a correct way (WCAG 4.1.1)
  • The jump links in the page do not work correctly (WCAG 2.4.1)
  • The semantic structure of the page is described adequately to the users of screen readers (WCAG 1.3.1)

An effort will be made to correct the shortcomings listed in this statement before 31.12.2020.

Accessibility requirements do not apply to certain content

The online service consists of educational videos that are not fully accessible. The videos do not include close captioning, or their content is not described to users who use assistive technologies. Under the law, video content published prior to September 23, 2020 does not need to be made accessible retroactively.

The observations in this accessibility statement are based on a third-party assessment of whether the online service meets legal requirements.
